Lauren,
So I have to admit, I feel quite awful starting off each letter diving into my day, but I just figure that may be what you're interested in. So, on to me day!
We had P.T. this morning, and ran about 3.5-4 miles, which was rather exhausting. But each time, it seems to get easier. After that, we came back to the dorm to shower and get the dorm set-up so we could head to breakfast, when our T.I. put us "On the line" (that's when we stand at the side of the front of the bed; not standing in the center).
He informs us that a wingman has been a nuisance by going off and telling the other T.I.s that instead of us getting a full 5 minutes to shower, we only get four (We have 5 minutes to get 50 trainees showered and dressed, so it's going to be hectic no matter what). So, he says he'll give us "more time" to shower.
We all have two minutes to strip and be out of the bays. Then, 60 seconds to shower, followed by two minutes to get dressed. We accomplished he first two parts smoothly, but we only manage to get half-dressed when time runs out. So, we have to SLOOOWLY "beat our faces" (I googled this term... It means "Do lotsa push-ups!") which was quite brutal. He then gives us another 60 seconds, which only a few people missed being dressed by that time. So we had to beat our faces again.
Needless to say, no one is fond of that trainee anymore.
The rest of my day was rather boring to be honest. A lot of sitting and studying. However, tonight we got some new details (jobs) and on Monday, I get to go help out at the CBRNE (Gas Chamber!). I've no idea what I'll be doing, but I can not wait.
So, my graduation date is September 10th, and all the fun stuff starts on Thursday, including the Airman's run and the Coining Ceremony. I would give anything to have you there, but if your study schedule conflicts, then I will understand (I already started reserving my hotel/looking at flights down there, so... yeah, I'm making it no matter what!)
Well, I should head to sleep, some wingmen have KP (Kitchen Patrol) duty early tomorrow, and our Dorm Chief decided that we should all be awake for them. Goodnight!
Bailey
